After graduating from UCLA, Demyanenko spent a decade as a journalist and photographer, honing his observational skills and cultivating a deep understanding of human stories. This experience culminated in the production of "Bastard of the Party," a critically acclaimed feature documentary that aired on HBO. Widely regarded as the definitive portrayal of gangs in Los Angeles, the documentary showcased Demyanenko's ability to tackle complex and impactful subjects. Transitioning seamlessly into television, Demyanenko made a significant impact as a writer for FOX specials before joining Rocket Science Laboratories as the Head of Development. During this time, he spearheaded the creation of some of the most successful unscripted hits in television history. Series like "Joe Millionaire," "Temptation Island," "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé," and "Trading Spouses" captivated audiences worldwide, cementing Demyanenko's reputation as a mastermind behind groundbreaking television concepts. Subsequently, Demyanenko's role as Vh1's VP of Development & Programming proved instrumental in propelling the network to unprecedented heights.


Over four years, he developed an impressive slate of 50-plus projects, with 22 earning spots as a series. Shows like "Celebrity Rehab," "Tough Love," and "The T.O. Show" became fan favorites and contributed to Vh1's ascent to one of cable's top ten networks. Under Demyanenko's guidance, the network's programming expanded from a single night to a robust four-night schedule. Continuing his string of accomplishments, Demyanenko's executive roles at companies like Fremantle Media and Shed US further solidified his reputation for creating, developing, selling, and producing high-quality television content. "Basketball Wives," "Basketball Wives LA," "WWE Tough Enough," "Freaky Eaters," "Baseball Wives," "Football Wives," and "Eric & Jesse: Game On" were among his credits during this time. Demyanenko's influence extends beyond traditional television, as he has provided valuable consultation services to numerous domestic and international production companies, networks, and nonprofits.

In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, Demyanenko successfully launched two podcasts, one on gender equity and the other on reproductive rights. Both earned prestigious 2022 Ambie award nominations. Additionally, his work in producing groundbreaking augmented reality content for the CrimeDoor app garnered him a 2022 Telly award.
